Traders & Investors Club Meeting - 17th November 2009
Why Is It So Hard To Say Goodbye?
We tend to concentrate our efforts upon finding the ideal trade entry strategy. But then what? Will the market continue to move in our direction indefinitely? To quote Derren Brown, "Not impossible, but highly improbable".
Giving profits back to the market is no different to losing money on a trade. So, when we are in the happy position of finding ourselves on the right side of the trend, we must be vigilant for signs that our good fortune may be about to run out. So, how can we time our trade exits in order to retain as much profit as possible but without terminating our position prematurely?
This evening, Kevin Barry of the Traders & Investors Club will be discussing techniques that we can employ to provide us with an early warning that the market may be getting ready for a reversal and the opportunity to pull our stops in real tight.
Finding And Trading The Special Situation
We are very pleased to welcome back Susan Marmor of the Traders & Investors Club who will be taking us through some of her more interesting trades from the past six months in her own unique style.
The Intraday FX Trader
Bob Bleczinski of the Traders & Investors Club is a full-time FX futures trader who will be sharing with us some of his trading techniques.
Those of us who have had the pleasure of attending Bob's previous presentations at the Club will know that solid trading strategies and self-discipline form the bedrock of his trading style.
Our Month In The Market
The Traders & Investors Club is an indispensable element in the development of both new and experienced traders. One of the major benefits of membership of the Traders & Investors Club is the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals. Every evening, members talk about their successful, and not so successful, trades as well as describing their individual trading strategies and methods.
Jeff Boccaccio of the Traders & Investors Club is a full-time trader who has shared several of his trades with us over the past couple of months. Jeff is very happy to offer his trades for group discussion which often can provide us with a new perspective on the market.
Have you discovered a strategy that works for you or would you like to learn how other traders have become successful? Bring your trades along and perhaps get a different perspective on how to best manage them.
Market Roundup And Open Forum
As the markets continue rising to dizzy heights, it looks like the worst of the recession is behind us and the return of the good times is just around the corner. Or is it?
In order to be a successful trader in the modern world, you must be aware of how the price of sugar or an after dinner speech by Ben Bernanke will affect your stock, commodity and property portfolios. Kevin Barry of the Traders & Investors Club and Simon Dixon of Benedix will present a summary of the recent global market action and throw the floor open to the audience for their take on the current trading environment.
