Traders & Investors Club Meeting - 15th April 2008
The Wonderful World Of Options
"Options are extremely risky"........ "90% of options expire worthless"......... "Only the Professionals make money trading options"............
If you agree with any, or all, of the above statements, then Warren Buffett disagrees with you. The Berkshire Hathaway 2007 Annual Report reveals that $7.7 billion was generated by options trading activity.
You can utilize options as part of a conservative trading strategy that will generate extra income for you, as well as providing insurance for your stock portfolio. Whether you think that the market is going up, down or sideways, there are options strategies that will enable you to profit in any market conditions.
Kevin Barry of the Traders & Investors Club will be introducing us to the world of options trading and demonstrating how we can make consistent profits selling melting ice to eager buyers. We will also be exploring a simple technique to protect us from currency fluctations that could be detrimental to our portfolio.
The Nuts and Bolts of Trading - The Bleczinski System, Part 2
Bob Bleczinski of the Traders & Investors Club will be building upon last month's well-received presentation that described his daily routine as a Professional Trader.
For this meeting, Bob will be specifically focusing upon the system that he has developed using technical analysis to identify opportunities for intraday and swing trades on the US stock market. This presentation is a result of the interest expressed by many people eager to find out more about how he sources his stock ideas, his filtering processes and his approach to entries and exits.
Bob's trading strategy is based upon Dr. Alexander Elder's Triple-Screen technique, which Bob has refined to suit his personal trading style. Don't miss this great opportunity to see how a Professional Trader builds upon his rigorous mental preparation in order to make classic technical analysis techniques work for him on a daily basis.
Market Roundup And Open Forum
In order to be a successful trader in the modern world, you must be aware of how the price of wheat or an after dinner speech by Ben Bernanke will affect your stock and property portfolios. Kevin Barry of the Traders & Investors Club will present a brief summary of the recent global market action and throw the floor open to the audience for their take on the current trading environment.
Our Month In The Market
Members are encouraged to share their successful, or just as importantly, not so successful, trades with the Club. Have you discovered a strategy that works for you or would you like to learn how other traders have become successful? Bring your trades along and perhaps get a different perspective on how to best manage them.
Tonight's Speakers
Bob Bleczinski is a Private Trader, having only recently embraced this as a full-time occupation following a 16-year career at American Express. Trading both FX and stocks, his system produces primarily intraday and swing trades, based entirely on Technical Analysis concepts. He uses the Elder Impulse and Triple-Screen Systems along with moving averages and the MACD histogram to identify opportunities. As an American living in the seacoast town of Hove, Bob enjoys frequently “hopping across the pond” to visit friends and family.
Kevin Barry is a full-time trader. His preferred investment vehicles include options, spread betting and foreign exchange. Kevin is one of the founders of the Traders & Investors Club and can be contacted at:
