Traders & Investors Club Meeting - 20th May 2008
The Right Stock At The Right Time
How can we identify the stocks that are most likely to outperform the market? It is estimated that 50% of an individual stock's movement is influenced by the prevailing market trend and 30% by the strength of the industry sector. This means that no matter how strong the fundamentals, the fortunes of your chosen stock are subject to powers outside of its domain.
Kevin Barry will give us a brief introduction to the investment strategy known as Sector Rotation and demonstrate a technique to identify the strongest stocks in the best-performing sectors. You too can stay on the right side of the market by keeping your finger on the market pulse.
Licensed To Thrill: Bond Girl Pick Returns 30% In 8 Weeks
"Corporate Bonds are as dull as ditch water and yield minimum return on investment."
We, at the Traders & Investors Club, certainly don't think so. For a relatively low-risk strategy, substantial rewards are available to the canny investor. Susan Marmor will update us on the Corporate Bond picks from her March presentation and will also remind us why she feels that Bonds have a place in any well-managed portfolio.
The Nuts and Bolts of Trading - The Bleczinski System, Part 3
Bob Bleczinski will be building upon his previous well-received presentations through which we have been following his daily routine as a Professional Trader.
Tonight, Bob will be focusing upon trade execution, gearing-up his resources and putting them into action in order to seek out and filter trading opportunities. If suitable opportunities happen to present themselves during the evening, Bob will be demonstrating how to identify trades in realtime.
Bob's trading strategy is based upon Dr. Alexander Elder's Triple-Screen technique, which he has refined to suit his personal trading style. This is a great opportunity to see how a Professional Trader builds upon his rigorous mental preparation in order to make classic technical analysis techniques work for him on a daily basis.
Market Roundup And Open Forum
In order to be a successful trader in the modern world, you must be aware of how the price of wheat or an after dinner speech by Ben Bernanke will affect your stock and property portfolios. Kevin Barry will present a brief summary of the recent global market action and throw the floor open to the audience for their take on the current trading environment.
Our Month In The Market
Members are encouraged to share their successful, or just as importantly, not so successful, trades with the Club. Have you discovered a strategy that works for you or would you like to learn how other traders have become successful? Bring your trades along and perhaps get a different perspective on how to best manage them.
Kevin Barry will be following up on last month's presentation on selling option premium to keep us updated on one of his current trades which illustrates a low-risk method of getting into a hot stock.
