A stock and FX chart pattern and trendline scanner that will automatically identify breakouts, MACD divergences, Fib retracements as well as several other technical setups. The basic version of the program uses free publicly available end-of-day stock and FX data.

Those of you who have been following my Market Roundups and Technical Analysis presentations for any length of time will have heard me banging on about identifying support and resistance levels, together with FIbonacci retracements and MACD divergences.

Ramp is a software package that I like to use for scanning large universes of stocks and commodities for potential trade setups.

Installing Ramp is breeze. Once you have defined your universes of stocks, commodities and FX pairs, Ramp will automatically scan them looking for any combination of  potential trade setups that you define. For example, you can search for one of my favourite setups namely price hitting a support level combined with bullish MACD divergence.

In addition to the end-of-day version, there is a realtime version of Ramp as well as an intraday chart pattern alerts service.

If you are an MT4 user, you might be interested in the expert advisor that facilitates a connection to realtime MT4 data.

The end-of-day Ramp program costs under $200 for a lifetime license. Excellent support is provided by the software developer personally.

Ramp is a powerful piece of software that will save you a load of time, uses freely available datafeeds and is extremely keenly priced. What is there not to like?

You can usually get a free trial of Ramp at the Nebadawn website www.nebadawn.com
