Traders & Investors Club Meeting - 19th October 2010
Currency Wars are breaking out across the globe. Central bankers are tripping over each other in their attempts to devalue their currencies in an attempt to boost exports and stimulate growth. In the fight-to-the-death between the Central Banks and Mister Market, which will ultimately triumph?
Perhaps a hint of what is to come can be gleaned from the result of last month's intervention by the Bank Of Japan intended to stem the rise of the Yen. After pumping the equivalent of some $6 billion into the market, the Yen recovered to put in yet another new high against the dollar.
We might think that none of these high-finance shenanigans affects the Man In The Street. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. Whether we like it or not, what is happening in the global currency markets will affect us. How we allow ourselves to be affected is up to us.
The Traders & Investors Club is here to help you to understand what this all means for your financial well-being and the preservation of your assets during the years ahead. Our next meeting is another one that you can't afford to miss. You are also more than welcome to join us for our popular 'post-discussion meeting' at a local hostellery a stone's throw away from the Freemasons' Hall.
Here is the Agenda for the evening:
